Hi there. 8 months and 3 weeks old tomorrow. Made a hell of a mess splashing in the bath tonight. Then decided I had had enough, grabbed the rail on the side , pulled myself to standing position and demanded to be picked up , dried off and carried off for pyjamas etc. Saw Ouma and Oupa today when they got back from Uganda.

I am now 8.5 months old! I have 1 bottom tooth and boy is it sharp. I am starting to walk with a bit of help from my folks. I like playing with all my toys especially Teddy, Franky and Toby. Bath time is good fun though I hate getting undressed and dressed again. I am still getting "swimming lessons " in the jacuzzi from dad but am starting proper swimming lessons next month. I have a new car seat now as the picola was getting to be a bit of a sqeeze. I am now 11 kg's . My day starts at about 6 o clock when I wake up. Dad picks me up and takes me through to his bed where I spend the next hour "chatting". Then I have to wave dad off as he goes to work. I have breakfast and then a snooze @ 9h30 for about 45 minutes, lunch, play, another snooze @ 14h30, more play supper, bath @ 18h45 and then bedtime. I am learning to brush my tooth. I have outgrown a lot of my clothes already. Yesterday I waved for the first time. I laughed like crazy when dad chopped the wood for the braai.

I am now 6 months and a week old. Went to the pub with mom and dad yesterday for the first time. Lots of fun. Dad gave me a sip of ginger ale . I am not too sure if I like it yet. anyway I am still growing a lot , I eat a lot and enjoy all the veges mom makes for me. I think all the pumpkin and carrots are making my hair go red! Played in the garden yesterday and watched mom and da working in the garden.

In 2 days time i Iill be 6 months old. I have been sitting upright for about 3 weeks. Mom started me on solids also about 3 weeks ago. The first time i tasted rice cereal I burst out laughing ......food spraying everywhere. I like pear , apple and pumpkin the most but dont have any foods that I wont eat.I went for my shots at the clinic last week. I am now 70 cm tall and weigh just under 9 kg. The nurse jabbed me in the leg but I did not make a sound! I fell off the bed last week and rolled across the floor. Luckily I did not hurt anything. I like playing with the clothes pegs and really like the books and newspapers I get given.Mom made me a new mat that is a lot thicker. Guess mom and dad got tired of hearing my skull thudding into the ground everytime I toppled over! Dad is trying to teach me to crawl but I prefer to just lie there and have him bring me everything. My hair is growing and my eyes are changing colour. I still have no teeth. Mom bought me a nice new blue cap yesterday as my old one is too small already.I now sit in the bath and play with the toys. Dad is also putting me in the jacuzzi with him which is fun. He wants me to learn to swim better than he can..
